Terms

All Weruzo pieces are handmade by artisans using traditional crafting techniques. We celebrate the artistry of the human hand and objects made by them. It is the nature of the artisanal process for these objects to be imperfect and unique, and those are characteristics that the studio celebrates and embraces as part of the creative process. Every vessel and object is one of a kind, no two are exactly the same. These are objects made by humans, not a mass produced product.

1. General and Application 

The following terms and conditions shall apply for all contracts between the customer and Weruzo about the delivery of goods, which are ordered from weruzo.com.

 

2. Account 

The customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account and password and for restricting access to their computer to prevent unauthorised access to their account. The customer agrees to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under its account or password.

The customer should take all necessary steps to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure and should inform Weruzo immediately if they have any reason to believe that its password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.

The customer shall ensure that the details which are provided to Weruzo are correct and complete. The customer shall inform Weruzo immediately of any changes to the information that has been provided at the time of registration.

 

3. Terms of Sale

By placing an order with Weruzo you are offering to purchase a product, and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.

In order to contract with Weruzo you must possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us.

All prices are inclusive of VAT. In some cases, delivery costs will be charged in addition; such additional charges are clearly displayed where applicable and included in the ‘Total Cost’.

All made-to-order and pre-order products are non-refundable.

 

4. Delivery Times & Charges

Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any guarantees or representations made as to delivery times are limited to mainland UK and are subject to any delays resulting from postal delays or force majeure for which we will not be responsible. Order processing can take up to 5 working days, shipping time is an estimate following this. 

5. International Customs Duty & VAT

If you are purchasing from a country whose borders charge duty to imported merchandise, you will be requested to pay for this import fee by the postal service, which then pays your government.

The buyer agrees that they are responsible for any duty, taxes, and expenses associated with importing products purchased from us when shipping internationally. All taxes and duties are the sole responsibility of the purchaser, these fees are not included in the shipping costs. 

If you refuse to pay duty and the piece is shipped back to us and arrives safely, we will refund you for the piece minus any additional cost of return shipping. If the package is abandoned because duty is not accepted we are unable to refund you for the lost goods.

6. Cancellation Policy

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, you have up to 7 working days after you have received your delivery to cancel your order (other than pre-orders and made to order items.

To cancel your order you may email info@weruzo.com and we will reply with instructions on returning your goods.

Weruzo does not cover the postage cost of returning goods except in the case where the wrong product is delivered.

Further details of your rights under Distance Selling Regulations are available from your local Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.

 

7. Refund Policy

Returns

Returns to Weruzo may be made within 14 days of receiving a piece purchased directly through weruzo.com. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a refund, the item must be undamaged, unused, and clean. Please email the studio at info@weruzo.com to request a return ticket. We will not accept returns without a ticket number. Your refund will be credited to the same card used to make the original purchase. You will receive an automated email once we have inspected and processed your refund. Shipping costs are non-refundable and all return shipping costs are at the expense of the buyer.

If the item is returned damaged or broken we will not be able to refund you for the lost goods. Pieces are often mishandled during shipping and when moving in and out of customs. We do not advise depending on the return of the goods safely back to the studio as they are often lost or damaged when refused at delivery, and the studio is not always contacted to advise on the return of the parcel.

Damaged or Broken Items

We pack every shipment with extreme care, but breakages can still occur during transit, although it is rare. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged during shipping, please send an email within 5 business days to info@weruzo.com to arrange a replacement. 

When contacting the studio with a report of broken goods, please send a photo of the condition the piece arrived in, in its packaging, and any evidence of mishandling by the carrier so that we have it for insurance purposes. Claims must be made within 5 days of the package arriving.

Please note that you may have to repay duties/taxes for the replacement. 


Late or missing refunds 

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges 

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@weruzo.com 


8. Prohibitions & Misuse

You must not misuse this Website. You will not: commit or encourage a criminal offence; transmit or distribute a virus, trojan, worm, logic bomb or post any other material which is malicious, technologically harmful, in breach of confidence or in any way offensive or obscene; hack into any aspect of the website; corrupt data; cause annoyance to other users; infringe upon the rights of any other person’s proprietary rights; send any unsolicited advertising or promotional material (commonly referred to as “spam”), or attempt to affect the performance or functionality of any computer facilities of or accessed through this Website. Breaching this provision would constitute a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. Weruzo will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and disclose your identity to them.

Weruzo will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a distributed denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of this Website or to your downloading of any material posted on it, or on any website linked to it.

 

9. Prices

All prices are correct at time of publishing and include VAT. It may be necessary to change prices either up or down, from time to time. Any price changes will be confirmed to you at the time of ordering. Please note that if your package is over 13kg in total we may have to advise you of additional shipping charges.

 

10. Images and Descriptions

Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions and images of Weruzo objects are accurate. Digital photography has been used and in some cases colours may be slightly different in real life.

  

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Weruzo, officers, employees, consultants, agents, and affiliates, from any and all third party claims, liability, damages and/or costs (including, but not limited to, legal fees) arising from your use this website or your breach of the Terms and Conditions.

 

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and in the event of any dispute or claim associated with these terms and conditions, that dispute or claim shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

 

13. Statutory Rights

Your UK statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy.

 

14. Newsletter and Promotional Contact
